On some networks it’s impossible to use BitTorrent. This is where an SSH tunnel can come in handy. It's able to bypass almost any type of firewall or throttling device. Here you will find a 3-step guide that will show you how to set it up with Acanac's DSL service.
Step 1. Request access to your Free Online PC. Your request may be made at https://www.acanac.com/support/contactus.php Please include your DSL user name. Your welcome letter will be sent to the email on file. If you email is no longer failed please contact our sales department during regular business hours.
Step 2. Download our modified version of Putty at http://www.acanac.ca/Putty.zip It has been pre-configured to connect to your Online PC. Simply Unzip the files and double click the putty.exe icon. Then simply click open and type in your Online PC login and password. Leave this SSH connection active while using your SSH tunnel

Step 3. Download Uttorent if you don't already have it installed. http://download.utorrent.com/1.7.7/utorrent.exe Install it like you would any normal program. Now open up your Utorrent and go to Options > Preferences > Connection. Enter your port number ( use 8080), socks 5 as type, and 127.0.0.1 in the proxy field. You can leave the listening port as random. Please also check Use proxy server for peer-to-peer connections. Click Apply and restart your Utorrent client.
